DAY 2 - Financial Data Design and Manipulation

Overview: In a business environment, everybody deals with large amounts of data. We have encountered many people who struggle in their jobs due to poor data orginazation skills (i.e., it often takes a person a long time to complete a task because they do not know the best tool to use).

The Marquee approach to teaching data manipulation is based off Excel but is very different from most other Excel training providers. We focus on teh most critical skills that business professionals need to analyze and manage their data. Everything is taught in context. The examples that are provided allow participants to use the skills in very relevant business situations.

The course is interactive with hands-on working sessions throughout the seminar. We aim for people to have fun and to enhance the learning experience.

Timing: This course requires one-day

Learning Topics:

  • Use numerous build-in Excel functions to interpret and manipulate data
  • Use Excel's filters in conjunction with specific arithmetic functions to summarize large volumes of data.
  • Use a variety of intermediate and advanced Lookup functions to efficiently extract specific information.
