Attention K-12 Teachers!
The National Council for History Education announces a professional learning opportunity that brings together public history and civic action. In this unique grant experience, 15 teachers (preference will be given to K-12 teachers in rural schools) will be selected to travel to the Library of Congress along with their community partners July 24 - 26, 2024. During this learning experience, teachers and community partners will build civic connections and develop a plan for their students to create a public history project in their own community. Teachers will receive a $850 stipend to defray travel costs and up to $750 to support their community project. The deadline for applications will be March 15, 2024. For application consideration, teachers must participated in the Online Colloquia (Part B).
