The Rural Experience in America - Asynchronous Learning

Attention K-12 Teachers!

The National Council for History Education announces a new professional learning opportunity for K-12 teachers to learn to use primary sources from the Library of Congress's collection in their classrooms.  Registered teachers will self-pace through the LOC online course from December 1, 2021 through February 28, 2022.  In addition, there will be some required readings and written responses that will help teachers learn more about rural America. Lastly, we’ve also partnered with the Right Question Institute, and there will be a 4-week course offered that blends the Question Formulation Technique with primary sources. If you do not have a lot of experience using primary sources in your classroom, want to learn about the Library of Congress’s collection of sources, and/or want to add to your toolbox of strategies to use with primary sources, this professional learning is highly recommended!  Sign up today to participate in the asynchronous, online modules beginning December 1, 2021 through February 28, 2022.
