During this presentation Robin will help us explore the thinking function in depth, including:

  • Jung's original definitions of thinking overall, plus the introverted and extraverted variations of it
  • Other authors' definitions of thinking
  • Some unexpected aspects of thinking from a depth psychology perspective
  • How thinking plays into your particular personality type profile
  • How interacting with others' thinking affects you
  • The sociological implications of the thinking function
Those who use type professionally will learn:
  • How to recognize introveted and extraverted thinking in your clients
  • How to effectively re-educate your clients to understand the true meaning of thinking
  • The impact of the thinking function in the workplace

 This presentation is geared to all level type learners.


ABOUT OUR PRESENTER

Robin Wiley has worked in the Information Technology field for nearly 50 years, mostly as a project manager and corporate trainer. He became accredited to administer the MBTI® in the mid-1990s and has been using psychological types as a team-builidng tool with his software development Teams ever since. Robin has studied advanced typological topics with many experts iN the field, and has presented sessions on typology at numerous international conferences. He served as Secretary of the South Australian APT for three years, was part of the organizing committee for the 1996 Autralian APT Conference, and is past-president of the former Los Angeles APT chapter.  Robin has INTJ preferences.
