Join historian and documentary filmmaker (not to mention former TPT Board Chair) David Currey as he guides us through the sites and stories of the Battle of Nashville. Currey will share the significance of the battle and how this middle Tennessee landscape has been transformed by the events of the Civil War. We will drive the forward lines as well as visit sites including Fort Negley, Grandburry's Lunette, redoubt #1, and Peach Orchard Hill.
The three hour trip begins and ends at Fort Negley and includes expert commentary, transportation, a copy of our Historic Tennessee coffee table book, and a free one-year membership to the Tennessee Preservation Trust. The bus will leave promptly at 9am. Advance reservations are required as seating is limited.
