Session Description:  In the early 2000’s, Kent Crawford created the term Project Office in his book “The Strategic Project Office.” Since that time, thousands of companies have adopted project-based cultures and organizations, and the term Project Office has evolved into Project Management Office.

Just as the term has changed, the ways PMOs have been involved in organizations has changed as well.

As we kick off the 2014-15 PMI season in La Crosse, we will follow one example of this evolution as the PMO at LHI journeys from being founded, to working through business crises, to surviving a large culture shift, and ultimately becomes the go-to source for LHI’s project management standards, process engineering, and quality assurance.

About the Speaker: William Arnold, PMP, is the PMO Department Manager at LHI in La Crosse, Wis. He has been at LHI since 2006 building out the PMO, and currently manages 13 resources covering project management, process engineering, and quality disciplines. William previously worked as a software developer, technical leader, and group manager at Firstlogic for 12 years.
