Session Description:  At the April meeting, we will take time to celebrate our 10 years as a chapter; where we have been, what we have accomplished, and our vision.  We will be recognizing our past chapter Presidents, including Kay Wais who played a key role in our chapter’s start.

We are welcoming a special guest from PMI, Ron MacDonald, who will share with us some information going back to the founding of PMI in 1969 and its growth since then. He will share PMI’s strategic plan that was developed shortly after the new millennium and how the plan is our guide for the future.  Ron will also share some of PMI’s Key Initiatives for 2014.

About the Speaker:  Ron MacDonald, CLU, ChFC, CAE -Chapter Partner PMI Regions 2 and 3

Ron MacDonald is a 30 year veteran of the association management industry helping membership organizations grow and prosper.  He has spent the last 3 years of his career with the Project Management Institute working initially with volunteers from PMI’s Communities of Practice and more recently with chapter leaders in Regions 2 and 3.  During his career, Ron has worked with and counseled thousands of volunteer leaders helping them to create membership value and deliver great membership experiences for the members they serve.

Ron is a graduate of Gettysburg College earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  He received a Master’s of Science Degree in Financial Services from the American College and he has earned 3 professional designations:  Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Certified Association Executive.

Ron and his wife Donna and their two Bichon’s Emma and Piper live in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
