Dr. Ronda Fuchs, licensed psychologist, will be presenting about Collaborative Divorce at our first Chamber of Commerce Brunch and Learn.. Many of you may say, "Why would I want to go OR be seen at a presentation on Collaborative Divorce?" There are many good reasons to be acquainted with this alternative approach for dissolution of marriage, i.e. divorce.
With still about 50% of marriages ending in divorce, it is likely that you know someone who will be getting divorced; a friend, neighbor, family member, client, or colleague. This approach, as compared to traditional litigation, can help preserve families with the "best interest of the child" being the goal of this process. By just having an introduction to Collaborative Divorce, you may be able to recommend this and help someone in need.

Ronda Fuchs, Psy.D., PA is a Licensed Psychologist. Parent Coordinator, Guardian ad Litem, and Florida Supreme Court Family Mediator.
Dr. Fuchs, who has been in private practice in Miami Beach, Florida for the past 18 years, treats individuals, couples, and families for issues such as: marital conflict, depression, anxiety, stress and anger management, interpersonal relationships, parenting challenges, and grief counseling. In addition to therapy, she is a guest speaker at businesses and schools where she lectures on various topics including: collaborative divorce, stress management, child safety, effective parenting, financial fidelity and healthy relationships
Her passion is to help families deal with the emotional stressors accompanying divorce through individual/family therapy during or after divorce, by serving as a Neutral Mental Health Professional in a Collaborative Divorce, and by educating the public about the Collaborative Process. She has given several presentations on Collaborative Divorce including: the Key Biscayne Bar Association, local police and fire/rescue departments, and Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Fuchs is a contributor to local and national media outlets. Frequently quoted by The Miami Herald, she has also authored numerous articles on Collaborative Divorce for local newspapers and widely-read websites.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Florida Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She has been a member of the Collaborative Family Law Institute of Miami for 3 years, serving the past year as a board member and co-chair of the Speaker's Bureau. Dr. Fuchs is also a member of Business Networking International and Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Fuchs graduated with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 1995, followed by a Post-Doc Fellowship at UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. She received her undergraduate degree from Florida International University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and worked at South Miami Hospital, as well as started her own home health practice.
