Avoidance kills the leader.
Communication skills the leader.

Humans love comfort. People go to great lengths to avoid difficult conversations  and heavy decisions. As a result, many relationships are superficial and critical initiatives sit stagnant. This defines ineffective leadership.

Good news: rewards await ... for those attending the John Engels leadership training Entering Discomfort on Friday, April 22, 2016. Most leaders haven't heard these compelling, challenging ideas.

John Engels delivers a highly interactive event with improvisational coaching demonstrations, and LIVE responses to your dilemmas. Guarenteed to be intriguing, honest, witty, and humorous (because, after all, humans are funny).

During this event you'll experience presentations, storytelling, and interactive activities focused on:
  • How to self-medicate your allergy for "human" discomfort. If you're allergic to poison ivy, what do you do when you're confronted with it? You run in the opposite direction. But this behavior is ineffective when you're confronted with human situations, because true leaders walk toward a problem, not away from it.
  • Why strong relationships are central to strong leadership, both at work and home.
  • How "Calmness, Clarity, Connectedness, and Courage" guide effective leaders. Your responses define you.

Who should attend this event?

  • Anyone desiring to function at a higher level, with higher caliber responses to challenges. Teams are welcome, too.
  • Anyone desiring stronger, more honest relationships.
