Painting with Qaasim Munoz 

Qaasim will guide you in creating your very own work of art on a 16''x20'' canvas. All supplies will be provided.  

Life is the canvas of multifaceted artist, Qaasim Muñoz. 

Born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, Qaasim was surrounded by the arts. He studied visual arts and music at Rosa Parks Performing Arts High School and later went on to study illustration at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. 

  Currently his works are on display in Goshen New York, Jersey City New Jersey, Newark New Jersey and Miami Florida. In addition, he diligently teaches his craft to elevate his students' artistic abilities. Classes include drawing, painting and portraiture in New Jersey and New York.  

Through his martial arts training, Qaasim became a Sifu level 4th Dan at Yee's Hung Ga International Kung Fu Academy and continued his studies in the healing arts. He also practices and teaches Tuina, Chinese medical massage, Qi Gong, and meditation.

Qaasim is fascinated with people and the human form. He loves bringing them to life on canvas with a broad range of styles utilizing pen and ink, acrylic paints, oil pastels and digital art.

Musically, Qaasim is inspired by jazz, funk, R&B and rock and roll. He thrives as a 4 and 5 string bass player. He occasionally performs as a sideman in live musicical productions. 

When this renaissance man is not painting, performing, teaching or using healing arts you can find him cooking up delicious meals celebrating and bringing together family and friends.
