In the library profession, we are often required to make oral presentations. Whether we are asked to talk in a team meeting or present in front of an audience at a conference, we all have to speak in public from time to time.
If you have never presented, or need a few refresher tips to make your presentation exceptional, join us for the MALA webcast “Unlocking Your Potential: Presentation Skills”. Presenter Gloria Tibbs, with the University of Missouri-Kansas City, will guide you through the process from creating your presentation, evaluating your audience, to the final presentation. If you speak well in public, it can help you get a job or promotion, raise awareness for your team or library, and educate others.

Gloria Tibbs is the Organizational Development Coordinator for the University of Missouri-Kansas City, University Libraries. She has been recognized at the White House as a 2013 Champion of Change. She is the recipient of the 2011 Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Diversity and an Avanzando Scholar Mentor to a Hispanic Development Fund (HDF) Scholarship recipient.
