Description:

In this webcast, our presenter Simone Briand will focus on one of the newest and biggest occupational hazards to arise in the digital age -- occupational sitting. Occupational sitting can have such adverse effects on health that it has been said that "sitting is the new smoking."

Presenter:

Simone Briand is the Library Director at Ruth R. Cleveland Memorial Library of Cleveland University – Kansas City. She has worked in academic libraries for 24 years, and has spent the last 16 of those years in health science libraries.  Simone earned a Master's Degree in Library Science from the University of Missouri, a Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Florida International University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas.
