With the support of the Missouri State Library and a LSTA Show Me Steps Grant, the Mid-America Library Alliance is thrilled to have David Vinjamuri and his Lead the Change: Transform Your Stacks to Drive Circulation presentation coming to Kansas City.

Presenter David Vinjamuri is President of ThirdWay Brand Trainers, whose clients over the last 11 years have included American Express, Starwood Hotels, The Corporate Executive Board, The U.S. Army, Navy and Commerce Department.  David also teaches branding and social media to Master’s degree candidates at NYU where he is adjunct Assistant Professor of Marketing.

Transform Your Stacks to Drive Circulation is a full-day, live, interactive Lead the Change workshop providing insights and tools to redefine collection development and reader’s advisory strategies, and transform your stacks into vibrant discovery centers that engage readers and drive circulation.

Participants will be led through a series of exercises to help them understand the challenges presented by the growth of ebooks and self-publishing, and the opportunities for libraries to become the best place for readers to discover books. You will learn how to transform your stacks to better serve readers and increase circulation using proven marketing strategies and creative merchandising tactics.

As a participant, you will receive an action planner, and work both individually and in groups to build a framework for innovation and change for your library’s approach to collection development and reader’s advisory. David Vinjamuri and his expert co-facilitators will provide insights, best practices and marketing tools from both the private sector and libraries that will help you transform your library and change your relationship to your community, no matter what your budget or level of resources.
