Advent/Christmas Giving Project 2014

This year supporting our Parish's Annual Christmas Giving Project just got easier. Now you can choose to support any or all of our three charities: Our Neighbors in Need, Malta Mobile Care Clinic and Our Parish Legacy Fund very easily. Using your credit card you can choose how much and which charity/s you would like to support.

Christmas Giving Project – 2014

Over the past several years, our Christmas Giving Project has been an incredible example of the generosity and spirit of the Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Community. What started as a modest effort to provide Christmas meals to inner city families of Sacred Heart Parish in Hartford has now grown and changed depending upon the needs of our community—and beyond. Together, we have made life a little bit brighter for the hundreds and hundreds of people we have touched.

Our Neighbors in Need

It is an unfortunate reality that many of our own neighbors, both near and far, are having difficulty making ends meet on a daily basis. The ministries of St. Catherine of Siena work side-by-side with those in need to help provide the basic necessities of daily life. Your donation will be used to meet needs including the purchase of gift cards for medication and mounting co-payments for the elderly; for food, clothing and other essentials. In this local outreach, our parish becomes the heart and hands of Christ to those in need.

Malta Mobile Care Clinic

The Knight’s of Malta Mobile House of Care’s mission is to provide free primary health care to the uninsured through the operation of a mobile care vehicle that serves 4 distinct neighborhoods across the city of Hartford. Through coordinated communication efforts at schools, homeless shelters, parishes and other community outlets, the Malta Van provides much needed preventive and primary care to some of the most vulnerable members of our community, particularly women and children. Your monetary donation combines with volunteer doctors, nurses as well as with in-kind corporate donations to create a virtual mobile hospital right in the neighborhoods where it is needed most.

The Parish Legacy Fund

Your donation will ensure the future outreach of our parish ministries such as Youth Feed the Hungry, Pantry Partners and St. Elizabeth House.
