NJAMFT Ethics 2014 (Spring) Workshop
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Important: This course is based specifically on NJ regulations and statutes and the AAMFT Code of Ethics
This workshop will be interactive. Breakout groups will discuss clinical and professional ethical dilemmas, applying guidance from the NJ Statutes and Regulations and the AAMFT Code of Ethics. The groups will then report back to the larger audience and a general discussion will ensue. In this workshop proper note taking techniques will also be demonstrated.
Bring your lap top computer or other internet capable device that will allow you to access the pertinent documents on the internet. Also, please submit examples of dilemmas you have faced and/or suggested themes you would like addressed to: james.verser@gmail.com
ABOUT OUR PRESENTER
James Verser M. Div., M.S., Ed.S, is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a Private Practice in Bloomsbury, NJ. He has been a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) since1982. Jim holds an Ed.S in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seton Hall University, a Master’s of Science in Family Environment from Iowa State University in 1980 and a Master’s of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He completed his Bachelors at The College of William and Mary. Jim served as the Chair of the Board of New Jersey Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners from 1999 - 2001 and again from 2005 - 2011.
