We are currently accepting new registrations for SELECT players only (players born in 2000 or after). YOUTH players (born in 1998 and 1999) who have successfully registered prior to June 1st are welcome and encouraged to attend the June 7th tryout, even if you attend the June 1st tryout.  The YOUTH team has reached its capacity in numbers and is no longer accepting registrations or walkins.

2014 Girls Indoor High Performance 

CHRVA is hosting its eighth annual tryouts to select two teams to compete in the USAV High Performance Tournament in Tulsa, OK July 22-26, 2014.

  • Girls' Youth National (born in 1998 and 1999)
  • Girls' USA Select (born in 2000 and after)

Girls born before January 1, 1998 are not eligible to participate in these tryouts

If you are selected for one of the teams …

  • you will have 24 hours from time of notification to accept an offered position
  • a non-refundable deposit of $500 will be required at time of acceptance
  • balance required – July 1, 2014

 

 

 

 

TRYOUT COST

$50 – one time charge for all  sessions (you can attend all the sessions for $50)

$60 - after June 5th (or at the door is space permits)

All tryout attendees must …

  • provide proof of age
  • provide proof of registration in the CHRVA region

At the Tryouts

-    Registration begins at 9:00 AM

-    Athletes are encouraged to attend to attend both tryouts but attendance at both is not necessary

 

Selection for either team will require a signed commitment from the athlete and her parents.  The commitments are threefold: personal, financial, and time. 

Personal: Selected athletes must be ready to work hard and be ready to sacrifice for the team and the CHRVA region they are representing.

Financial: The estimated cost for a selected player to participate is $975.  This includes (but not limited to): travel, lodging (during training and travel), ground transportation, uniforms, registrations, pre-competition training, training facility and equipment, etc.

Time: Attendance at the ALL the following events are mandatory. 

July 11, 12 and 13  [Training – College of Notre Dame, Baltimore]

July 18, 19 and 20  [Training -Virginia Volleyball Center Northern Virginia]

July 21                    [Depart for event]

July 22-26               [Competition]

July 27                   [Return]
