New Clinical Indicators for Malnutrition have been developed in collaboration with ASPEN and AND.  The Program will describe the clinical indicators and how to use them to identify Malnutrition.  The program will empower the health professionals to use the indicators and have discussions with the physicians on the ways to measure malnutrition and to diagnosis and treat it.

Infection Control is the Hot Issue in all areas of the Survey.   The program will help participants identify the areas of infection control in the Dietary Department.   The program will discuss the other areas that commonly lead to Dietary deficiencies and provide a tool to help identify the areas of concern.

  1. Participants will be able to list at least 4 of the 6 indicators used in measuring malnutrition.
  2. Participants will be able to state the number of clinical indicators needed in determining malnutrition.
  3. Participants will be able to state the infection control issues found in the Dietary Dept.
  4. Participants will be able to complete the checklist to determine survey readiness.
