Please join us for our next chapter meeting with 2 hours of NHAP and BRN CEU credits.
The focus of the class will identify key ICD-9 diagnoses and the Clinical Documentation Improvement using ICD-10 documentation requirements to support care and billing.
EHR and the legal health record – will review the key items for clinical monitoring of a legal health record; down to the basics of signatures, complete documentation. How do you know your record meets the “requirements to support high quality care?”
Topics covered:
1. Identify the focus of ICD-9 coding accuracy & documentation required for ICD-10
2. Identify their own internal system for ICD-9/10 implementation
3. Understand legal EHR items to mitigate legal implications
Rhonda Anderson is the President of Anderson Health Information Systems, Inc. (AHIS) in Santa Ana, California, providing Health Information consultation and directing staffs who consult to variety of health settings in several states.
She has served as the Clinical Record Consultant for over 30 years and has been a creative force in the development of record systems to meet corresponding regulatory and clinical changes in the health information management and clinical record field, has directed/coordinated health information services for various companies and organizations, trainer and evaluator of all types of manual and computerized record systems.
Rhonda graduated from St. Joseph’s School for Medical Records Administration in Houston, Texas and attended St. Mary’s College and Ft. Smith Junior College and has also published manuals for: Resident/Skilled Nursing Records; Clinical Records for Developmental Disabilities; Psychiatric Records and Dialysis Record Systems.
