Atlantic Sports Health: Couch to 5k Session 1

Have you always wanted to run a 5k (3.1 miles)  but don't know where to begin?

We'll get you started!

Atlantic Sports Health's team of sports medicine professionals will help prepare you to where you need to be to complete The Interfaith Food Pantry and Literacy Volunteers of Morris County's Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot scheduled for Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 24th at Ginty Field in Morris Township.

The Couch to 5k Series will comprise of 3 FREE educational sessions designed to prepare community athletes to complete The Interfaith Food Pantry and Literacy Volunteers of Morris County's Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.

The first session will include the following:

  • How to Begin a Running plan in Preparation for The Turkey Trot
  • 3 Training Programs Will be Offered for Beginners
  • Hydration and Nutrition Basics
  • Pre & Post Workout Stretching
