MAS MN 2nd Annual 5K Color Run & Walk for Autism Awareness 

Assalamualaikom!

Welcome to the MAS MN Color Run & Walk for Mental Health Awareness. This is our first 5K Run & Walk in the Twin Cities. This is our chance as Muslims to come together and show our support for people with mental health issues.

Mental Illness in the Muslim community has recently become a pressing issue, especially amongst our youth. However, an even bigger issue is the stigma around mental health illness, becoming a major barrier for individuals who need help. This 5k color run aims to attract every one of all ages from high school students to college students to parents and families all together. We want to promote exercise, unity, and most importantly; raise awareness about the importance of mental health so that we can fight the stigma of mental health illnesses.

Event Guidelines

  • This is a family event. People of all ages and walks of life are welcome. 
  • Kids under 5 are free of charge and welcome at our event. Parents are responsible for their own children. 
  • All proceeds from this event will go toward scholarships for students obtaining a degree in mental health fields.
  • Expect to show your ID at the event location.
  • All registrants found violating registration policy and pricing will be charged accordingly.
  • Please dress modestly for this event. Shorts and pants should reach below the knee. Shirts need to have sleeves. Wear comfortable shoes. People of all faiths are welcome.
  • T-Shirts are handed out for free based on registration. Please register below to receive your free T-shirt.
  • Supportive signs and posters are welcome. 
  • We do not allow vulgar language or anything that promotes hate or violence.
  • We will have medical personnel(s) present at the event and first aid kit(s). In case of emergency, please allow space for professionals to administer help to those in need.
