Howl At The Moon and Whine - Dinner/Auction/Raffle

Please join us for our annual dinner event on Saturday, AUGUST 27, 2016. A return to the great venue at Swiss Park Newark (just off 880 at Mowry in Fremont)! Raffle (surprises this year!), BBQ food (if you came last year, you know how good this was), courtesy of Bill Cole and his scouting colleagues.

We will start at 3pm to make the most of the daylight hours and to ensure you can still get home in daylight as well. Hope this encourages supporters to turn out on the day. We'll serve dinner at 5:30pm and wrap up proceedings at 7pm.

We will separate the online auction from the live event this year to avoid the usual confusion over some of our better items that end up in both auctions. If you don't want to miss out... make sure you come on the day.

We are also moving the Volunteer of the Year award to a special, volunteers only appreciation event to be held later in the year. So, if you're a volunteer, there is still time to make an effort to win it!

If you have items to donate - either for raffle items, online auction items, or grand prize raffle items... please let Gwen Dossey know - gdossey@te.com. And if you'd like to be involved in the event as a volunteer... it will get you reduced price entry and be much appreciated. Let Gwen know!

Join us for this fun party and, of course, as we raise money for our wonderful rescue hounds!

Swiss Park Newark is conveniently located for most of you, and has a LOT of parking space!  This venue will also allow RVs to park overnight on their lot, for those of you who do not want to drive home after the celebrations!

There is a hotel NEXT DOOR (Comfort Inn), which offers discounted rooms to patrons of Swiss Park.  There is a connecting door from the back of the hotel to the Swiss Park parking lot, so it could not be easier!

Remember that this is the one event in the year that is not for the dogs.  Please leave your hounds at home, although there are several pet friendly hotels nearby (check your invitation email for links) if you need to travel and bring a dog-sitter with you.
