BASIC SWAT OPERATOR COURSE

This 5-day course is designed for the entry-level SWAT operator. This course will include but not be limited to:

• Basic firearms operations
• Pistol and rifle skills
• Pre-scouting locations
• Wooded and field searches
• Dynamic entry
• Slow searches
• Breaching
• Distraction devices
• Chemical munitions
• Decision-making
• Hostage rescue
• Critical thinking
• Documentation and SWAT-specific report writing

STUDENTS MUST SIGN-UP FOR AND COMPLETE THE SWAT FIREARMS PREP COURSE ON SEPTEMBER 12-13, 2023 IN ORDER TO ATTEND THIS COURSE.

DATE AND TIME:  SEPTEMBER 18-22, 2023

DAY ONE - Day one will be an 0700 start and will begin with a 1.5 mile run and obstacle course. All attendees should show up in PT gear. All attendees must complete the 1.5 mile run in less than 16 minutes. The obstacle course must be completed in less than 5 minutes. Attendees MUST pass both to continue with the course. There are no exceptions to this requirement.

DAY FIVE - There will be a distance run held on the final day of this course.

• Duty handgun and at least 3 magazines
• Tactical holster and magazine pouches
• Tactical body armor
• Eye and ear protection
• Helmet

• Complete set of BDUs
• PT gear to include running shoes
• Breaching shotgun
• Radio/communication devices
• 9mm marking pistol
• .223 marking rifle
• 200 pistol rounds (practice)
• 500 rifle rounds (practice)
• 100 Force on Force 9mm marking rounds
• 400 Force on Force .223 marking rounds
