Join us in celebrating the achievements of women working in higher education at the Fall Awards Dinner hosted by Vermont Women in Higher Education!
This year we are pleased to announce these three very deserving winners:

Beverly Colston, Director of the Mosaic Center for Students of Color, University of Vermont: Jackie M. Gribbons Leadership Award
Maria Mercedes Avila, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Adjunct Professor of Nursing:  Sister Elizabeth Candon Award for Distinguished Service
Allison Neal, Assistant Professor of Biology, Norwich University: Peggy R. Williams Emerging Professional Award

We're also very excited to announce our keynote speaker, Wanda Heading-Grant, Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity & Multicultural Affairs at the University of Vermont.

About the Keynote Speaker: Wanda Heading Grant, Vice President for Human Resources, Diversity and Multicultural Affairs at the University of Vermont

In her three decades of service to the University of Vermont, Wanda Heading Grant has served in a broad range of academic and administrative roles including executive director, associate dean, associate provost, chief diversity officer and vice president. Her wealth of professional experience and volunteer service on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations and civil rights advisory committees have earned her a reputation as a cultural architect able to build and sustain real and lasting change.
