The Michigan Sheriffs' Association 2015 Summer Professional Development Seminars are Sunday, June 7 though Tuesday, June 9 at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville.

Silent Auction

The Michigan Sheriffs' Association Silent Auction has quickly become very popular.  This conference we will be offering a great selection of packages.  Items are beginning to come in and we will update this page with photos and details as the donations arrive.  If you have a business in your county that would like to donate an item to our auction please contact Kaye Galvin at (517) 485-3135 or kgalvin@misheriff.org.

Registration

Registration is now available completely on-line.  Please click on the link below to initiate your registration.  Each registration must use the email address of the attendee and each email address can only be used once for this event.  Registrations must be received by Wednesday, March 31, 2015 to be eligible for the Early Bird Rate & Prize.

For those bringing their spouses - please make sure you add them as a guest and indicate whether or not they are coming to the banquet.  Thank you!

Lodging

Our 2014 Summer Conference rates start at $125 plus tax and resort fee per night.  Many different room types are available.  For descriptions and prices please click here to download the reservation form.  (All rates are subject to state and local taxes.  If you are tax exempt you must provide proper documentation and pay with a county credit card or check.) 

For those arriving on Sunday, Guaranteed check-in is 5:00 p.m.  Rooms MAY be avaialable earlier.  You will want to check-in upon arrival.  If your room is not ready immediately you will be notified when you can pick up your room keys.  

If you are bringing your spouse or a guest you may want to consider coming in Saturday night.  There are a limited number of rooms in our block for Saturday arrivals.  The sooner you get your request in, the better opportunity you have to secure a room. 

Spouses' Outing

We are in the process of planning our spouses' outing.  Sheriffs' Spouses will receive an invitation in the mail with a postage-paid RSVP card.  This card MUST be returned to be included in the event.  Undersheriffs whose spouses would like to be placed on the waiting list should fill in their contact information on the registration form.   

Spouses will depart from the Hotel Lobby at 8:45 a.m. and will leave the property for a tour, demonstration, lunch and shopping.  Participation is limited to guests over the age of 21.  Due to liability reasons you will be expected to stay with the group for the entire day.  If you do not wish to attend the whole event please refrain from attending.  

Please keep in mind that while this event is offered to your guest at no charge, there is a cost associated with their attendance.  Therefore, if you register your guest for the outing and they fail to attend, you will be billed $25.
