Rockin' the Red with Paradox Sports and Catalyst Sports!

Paradox Sports and Catalyst Sports are teaming up to host an adaptive climbing event at Red River Gorge, Kentucky! (This is a rescheduled date for the postponed Rocktoberfest event from Oct 2014.) Climbing guides, instruction, gear and meals are all included in a low registration fee. All experience levels, abilities and ages are welcome!

Event Itinerary:

Friday 4/10/15
Meet at leader cabin (address provided prior to event), check out gear (if needed), team welcome dinner provided.

Saturday 4/11/15 - Full Day Adaptive Climbing Clinic at Torrent Falls
Team breakfast provided. Climbing and instruction starts at 9am and wraps up at 4pm. Lunch provided at the crag. Free time then team dinner provided at Miguel's.

Sunday 4/12/15 - Half day Adaptive Climbing Clinic at Torrent Falls or another local crag.
Team breakfast provided.
Climbing and instruction 9am - 11:30am then departure or stay for more climbing (unstructured group - not part of program) afterwards.

Some climbing equipment and personal camping equipment can be provided to lend as needed. Please include in registration andn let us know ASAP if you would like to borrow anything.

All routes will be set by the guides. Specialty adaptive gear and ropes will be provided by Paradox Sports and Catalyst Sports. We encourage climbers to bring their own personal gear if possible (harness, rock climbing shoes, helmet). Please describe your adaptive needs as detailed as possible (as it pertains to the event) in registration so we can be best prepared.

Climbing instruction and belaying will be provided for top rope. We will go over the basics of adaptive climbing and how to move well over rock tailored for various physical disabilities. All experience levels are welcome; the private cliff we are using has climbs rated from 5.8 to 12c.

NOTE! Lodging is not provided for this event but we have several suggestions of places to stay in cabins or camping in the area. Please inquire for details.
