Paradox Sports - Grand Teton Sept 2014 

Grand Teton, WY:  Sept 3-6, 2014

Partnering with Exum Mountain Guides, Paradox Sports will send up to 12 adaptive participants to climb the classic Grand Teton in Wyoming!

Please note that this is a rigorous climb and requires a certain level of physical fitness and climbing skills.  The journey begins with a Multipitch Climbing Level 1 and 2 course with Exum.  After passing these prerequisite classes, the team will rely on participation and teamwork during their ascent.  The result is a heightened sense of accomplishment and an unforgettable bond with their fellow climbers.

The 7-mile, 5,000-foot approach to the Exum Hut, on the saddle between the Middle and Grand Teton, climbs steeply through hillsides blanketed in wildflowers and past gorgeous waterfalls.

The hut is stocked with sleeping bags, pads, climbing gear, and cooking equipment.  Which route followed will depend on the weather and the speed of the group - either the historic Owen-Spalding, by which the mountain was first climbed, or the acclaimed Exum Ridge.  The team will enjoy the extraordinary views of three states  Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana at the top then rappel and down-climb for several hours to the Exum Hut.

This incredible experience will break barriers while building camaraderie and confidence.  

The registration fee includes all guide services, meals, accomodation and transportation to the climb. You will be responsible for your transportation to and from the event. We have a successful fundraising platform called Crowdrise that we can utilize with your participation if financial assistance is needed.
