The Paradox Sports Veterans program provides a transformative experience for military members (veterans and active duty) who have a disability (wounded, injured or ill).
Paradox Wilderness offers an opportunity to go deep into nature for a refreshing and grounding multi-night backcountry experience with a team of incredible individuals.
August 21 – 25, 2014
In partnership with the Sierra Club Military Outdoors program, we will be taking wounded or disabled veterans on a 5 day, 4 night journey to experience the incredible beauty of the Cranberry Wilderness in an area called Birthplace of Rivers. The Sierra Club is working to protect this pristine land by making it a National Monument. You can learn more and get involved by clicking here.
This wilderness journey requires physical fitness, the ability to carry a heavy backpack (up to 50lbs) and sleep on the ground for multiple nights.
Please email events@paradoxsports.org with any questions.
Participation in this event is free for military members (veterans and active duty). You will be responsible for your transportation to and from the event. We have a successful fundraising platform called Crowdrise that we can utilize with your participation if financial assistance is needed.
We send a huge thank you to Marmot and an anonymous donor for their ongoing support of our Veterans Program.
