Description: In today's changing world, strategies that may have worked in the past, or with one child may not be effective any longer, or with another child. The ability to evaluate and continuously improve behavior guidance strategies is an important skill for today's early childhood providers. Determine what went wrong and what you can do next time to prevent challenging behaviors using strategies recommended in previous prerequisite courses. 

Prerequisites:

~ Teach Social Skills to Prevent or Replace Unwanted Behavior in the Group Setting, Teach Children to Listen the First Time, Teach Behavior Regulation Without Talking OR De-Escalation Techniques For Early Childhood And Beyond, Teach Children to Make Choices to Set the Foundation for Behavior Regulation, Combat Impulsivity: Teach Children to Wait and Accept No, Teach Children to Transition Successfully In the Group Setting, Assessing Patterns of Avoidant Behavior in Children, and Teach Children to Stay Busy When Adults Are Busy.

We will work with you to the best of our abilities to help you complete the prerequisites. Please email jamie@behaveyourbest.com if you would like to attend and have NOT participated in the prerequisite courses AND need credit in Develop in MN.



All materials will be emailed to registrants. Make sure to check your junk/bulk folders. Registrants will receive 3 emails:
1) Pre-assessment of baseline knowledge, Zoom link and passcode to join the webinar: delivered the evening prior to the webinar; or for late registrations- delivered after 1pm the day of the webinar.
2) Post-assessment of skills acquired: sent immediately following the webinar.
3) PowerPoint, a certificate of completion and the recording of the event sent within 10-12 days following the webinar; upon completion of all requirements. 

Our webinars are hosted using Zoom meeting rooms. 



This is a Level 3 course approved in MNCPD/Develop (MN) areas:
~ Knowledge and Competency Framework Areas: II.C: Promoting Social and Emotional Development (2 Hours) 
~ CDA Content Areas: Content Area III: Positive ways to support children’s social and emotional development
*Also approved in Gateways (IL)

To receive continuing education credit (Develop/Gateways):
~ Attendee must complete the pre-assessment prior to, or during the first 10 minutes of the webinar.
~ Post-assessment must be completed by 3 pm on the Friday following each webinar. Score on post-assessment needs to increase from pre-assessment.
~ Trainer will provide a 4-digit numerical code, one digit at a time, throughout the webinar. Attendee needs to make note of the code to enter it on the post-assessment, confirming active participation throughout the 2-hour webinar.
Prerequisite course requirements should be met. 


Registration:
~ Early registration fee is $25: register by the end of the day on the Sunday before each webinar
~ Late registration fee is $35: register one day prior to or the same day as the webinar
~ Free for teacher of partner schools. Check with your director for a promo code.
~ Registration closes at 12 PM CST day of the webinar.
