Driving Directions 
 Project WILD/Growing Up WILD Workshop

Learn how to teach young people about ecology and wildlife using fun, hands-on educational activities. During the 7 hour workshop participants will sample activities and receive both Project WILD and Growing Up WILD curriculum and activity guides. Activities are adaptable for all grade levels, integrated with core subject curricula and aligned to the TEKS.

These workshops are created and designed for the future teachers enrolled in education courses at UTSA.  They are open to the public and all are welcome, but most of your fellow participants will be attending with their classmates.

Register for which date you will attend:

  • October 8, 2019 - English
  • October 9, 2019 - Spanish for bilingual teachers
  • October 10, 2019 - English

Open to teachers, informal educators and youth group leaders, this training provides TEA certified CPEs and TEEAC credit.

  • Bring a sack lunch
  • Bring drinking water for yourself
  • Dress for the weather - you will be outside
  • Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes (not cowboy boots) - everyone will be running and playing in the park

$50 Preregistration required.  No refunds unless canceled by TPWD.   Deadline:Septeber 30, 2019

Registration fee is for WILD training.  WILD materials are distributed only with requisite hours of training.  Attendance and participation in the entire workshop are required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.

Project WILD is sponsored by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Registration has been made possible through a partnership with Texas Wildlife Association.
