Learn how to build on young children’s sense of wonder about nature and invite them to explore wildlife and the world around them. During the four-hour training workshop participants will sample activities and receive a curriculum and activity guide. Activities are designed for 3-7 year olds and are correlated to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Standards and the Head Start Domains. Anyone who works with children, including teachers, home-schoolers, informal educators and early childhood caregivers are welcome.
Austin Nature and Science Center (ANSC) is open 9-5 Monday-Saturday, 12-5 Sunday. ANSC charges no entrance fee for individuals and families to visit. Project WILD workshops charge a minimal fee of $25.00 for workshop training and materials. Project Wild Facilitators are Texas Parks and Wildlife Volunteers.
Registration fee is for WILD training. WILD materials are distributed only with requisite hours of training. Attendance and participation in the entire workshop are required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.
Preregistration required. No refunds unless workshop is cancelled by TPWD.
