Project WILD/Growing Up WILD Combination Workshop

Learn how to teach young people about ecology and wildlife using fun, hands-on educational activities. During the 7 1/2-hour workshop participants will sample activities and receive both Project WILD and Growing Up WILD curriculum and activity guides. Activities are adaptable for all grade levels, integrated with core subject curricula and aligned to the TEKS. Open to teachers, informal educators and youth group leaders, this training provides SBEC and TEEAC credit.
The sheltered English workshop will include activities infused with linguistic accommodations for English language learners. The goal is to model the delivery of environmental education content through strategies that make instruction “comprehensible”.

Registration fee is for WILD training. WILD materials are distributed only with requisite hours of training. Attendance and participation in the entire workshop are required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.
