Complimentary Nadcap Technical Symposium in Hartford, Connecticut, USA
This symposium is being organized free of charge as an opportunity for companies that are not normally able to send a representative to Nadcap meetings to gain technical information/knowledge that will help them better prepare for a Nadcap audit.
The specific technical focus in Hartford will be Heat Treating and Nondestructive Testing, and information about the following will be presented:
- Heat Treating: Jerry Aston, Associate Program Manager for Heat Treating, will present a general over view for preparing for a Nadcap Heat Treat audit. Included will be a review of the Top Ten HT NCRs and a review of the Heat Treat core (AC7102) and Pyrometry (AC7102/8) checklists.
- Nondestructive Testing: Mark Aubele, Senior Program Manager for NDT, M&I, ETG and AQS, will present a general over view for preparing for a Nadcap (NDT) Nondestructive Testing audit. Included will be a review of the Task Group and their function, recommended audit preparation, conducting a Nadcap NDT audit, the top five NDT NCRs and a review of some critical checklist issues.
In addition, we anticipate representatives from Bombardier and UTC to attend this symposium to present the Subscriber perspective on Nadcap. Local suppliers have also been invited to share details of their Nadcap experiences, from a “lessons learned” perspective.
