his workshop is designed to help participants create the spaces to be self-reflective about our cultural shaping as individuals and institutions, understand the power dynamics in society that impact us, develop the skills to interrupt old patterns and inequitable practices that limit access and exclude some people from our institutions, build trust and clear communication and begin to understand how to make decisions based on multiple perspectives where all people can be heard and represented.
Oakton Community College/ALL/CEHP is an approved sponsor of continuing education for this program by IDFPR for the following professions: 6 1/2 clock hours will be offered to Social Workers, Professional Counselors, Psychologists, Marriage and Family Therapists, Registered Nurses, Nursing Home Administrators, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists. For teachers licensed in the state of Illinois, 6.5 hours of Teacher Professional Development (PD) credit will be offered. (Choose either IDFPR or Teacher Professional Development (PD) Select one.
Costs:
The cost for the workshop is $105.00
The fee for Professional Continuing Education Credit is $40.00
Lunch will be provided.
95% of registration fee will be refunded if registration is cancelled before registration closes. No refund will be given after registration closes Saturday, November 3, 2018.
