November 27, 2018 Presbytery Gathering

Throughout 2018 our Presbytery Gatherings have focused on Stewardship, in March we heard from people who participated in the NEXT Church Conference, using the churches resources in new and exciting ways. In May we had a variety of sessions talking about building up our leadership and our congregations. In September we learned about care of our environment. And for our final gathering we're focusing on Sabbath and Stewardship of our Time.

Stewardship of our time is particularly relevant as we approach and enter into the season of Advent when life tends to becomes filled with demands, both personal and professional.  From finding the "perfect" gift to give a loved one, to planning a unique and memorable worship services. Often, as demands on our time become more and more frequent, the scarce time we set aside for ourselves gets squeezed out. We know this isn't the correct approach, but it's usually the path of least resistance, and so we eat lunch at our desk, stay just a little bit later at work, etc.

Please join us when the Presbytery gathers at Linn Presbyterian in Lake Geneva on Tuesday November 27th, to hear from Jeremy and Hansi Bryan about their journey with Sabbath, and maybe make time for our own Sabbath.
