PRESBYTERY OF MILWAUKEE GATHERING
Saturday, September 20th from 9:30 am until 2:00 p.m.

"Vital Youth and Young Adult Ministry"
Dear Members, Commissioners, and Friends of the Presbytery of Milwaukee:
I invite you to attend our next meeting - Saturday, September 20 beginning
at 10:00 a.m.
In keeping with the September emphasis in many churches, this meeting will tilt strongly toward education that nurtures God's people for faith and mission.
- We will meet at Carroll University, a Presbyterian-related school, in Waukesha.
- Rodger Nishioka will speak to us about "Youth and Young Adult Ministry" at 11:00 a.m., and preach at the 1:00 p.m. worship service. (Rodger is Assoc. Professor of Christian Education at Columbia Seminary in Georgia, and a popular speaker at youth conferences and programs).
- Our worship will be led by youth from our Presbytery.
- We will meet (and vote on) three persons preparing for ordination, guided by our educational standards and processes.
To prepare for the meeting, please:
- Register online in advance. (See link below)
- Invite church members and friends to come (especially Sunday School teachers and planners), at least for the 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. events with Dr. Nishioka. (YOUTH EAT FREE!)
- Look at videos that introduce two candidates for ordination and a proposed Ethical Boundaries document that would affect local churches and the Presbytery. (Viewing of videos requires a password. Follow the link to the easy registration to obtain the password.)
- Read the papers, including those referenced by the videos, and come prepared to discuss. See links below.
- Pray for the Presbytery to continue to grow in effective witness to Jesus Christ and service to the world.
