Public Meeting on the Implementation of the U.S. Seafood Import Monitoring Program

July 20, 2017 - Newark area, New Jersey

 

The National Marine Fisheries Service ("NOAA Fisheries") invites importers, exporters, brokers and all those interested in learning more about the implementation of the U.S. Seafood Import Monitoring Program (SIMP)  to attend a public meeting on Thursday, July 20, 2017, 10:00AM - 12:00PM EDT. The meeting will be held at the Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel, 1000 Spring Street, NJ 07201.

This meeting will include an overview of SIMP, its implementation, and will afford ample time for questions.  SIMP which effective January 1, 2018 will require importers to report and retain traceability data for seafood from 13 species/species groups.
