The Tustin Community Foundation’s LIVEgreen program aims to raise environmental awareness and increase motivation for conservation and recycling in the greater Tustin area.

The Tustin Community Foundation and CR&R worked together to provide the first recycling cans at the Chili Cook-Off and the City of Tustin Concert and Movies in the Park!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
A few years ago the Tustin Community Foundation, through their LIVEgreen program, heard about the Tustin Meadows Community Dumpster Days event and  contacted a board member of the Tustin Meadows Committee Association, CR&R Waste Management and a local non-profit, the Salvation Army of Tustin.  A partnership of ideas was formed to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle to save unnecessary waste from going into the landfills.

First, the homeowners went through their belongings to REDUCE as they do during Dumpster Days.  Then, to REUSE,  the Salvation Army's trucks went through the community and collected items for resale in their Thrift Shop, providing them with funds that they were able to put back into the community.  CR&R provided RECYCLE dumpsters to complete the circle. The result was a win-win for everyone!
Please contact the Tustin Community Foundation, CR&R or the Salvation Army Tustin Ranch if your neighborhood would like to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!
