This FREE program will start immediately and include dinner. 
Must bring your registration ticket for admission. 

Objectives:  

Participants will be able to:
• Identify three inter-generational and dysfunctional family problems.
• Name three ways to use genograms to help families understand their family patterns.
• Recall four critical roles that family members may have within their family.
• Describe four effective family therapy interventions to improve communication within families.

Seminar Highlights:

Clinical content will focus on theory and practice related to family therapy. Other clinical topics include treatment strategies and skills, therapy goals, genograms, inter-generational patterns, and the role of the social worker in the family therapy process. In addition, the seminar will explore when to use family therapy as a treatment of choice. Recent clinical research about the efficacy of this model and its rate of success will be presented. DVD material will be used to highlight the treatment process.

Speaker: Phil Feldman, PhD, LCSW 

Dr. Feldman is the Clinical Director at Community Psychiatric Institute. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University, Graduate School of Social Work. Dr. Feldman has presented more than 200 clinical seminars at hospitals and agencies on personality disorders, emotional problems, and psychotherapy techniques. In addition to his work as a psychotherapist for 25 years, he is the author of three treatment manuals, Shame Affect, Dual Diagnosis Manual, and The Psychotherapy Manual. 

Attendees must attend the entire seminar and complete the evaluation form to receive Certificate of Attendance. The certificate will be given at the end of the seminar. This seminar is 2 CEU credits.
