Seminar Highlights:
This seminar will examine chronic illness and disability in adults and children, focusing on medical and psychosocial aspects of their condition. The person in environment model, bio-psycho-social model and medical model will be evaluated. The seminar topics will also include etiology of the disability, patients’ stages of adjustment, and quality of life. Clinicians will learn about clinical interventions and the social worker’s role in working with people with disabilities.
Dr. Feldman is the Clinical Director at Community Psychiatric Institute. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University, Graduate School of Social Work. Dr. Feldman has presented more than 200 clinical seminars at hospitals and agencies on personality disorders, emotional problems, and psychotherapy techniques. In addition to his work as a psychotherapist for 25 years, he is the author of three treatment manuals, Shame Affect, Dual Diagnosis Manual, and The Psychotherapy Manual.
