Clinical Focus on Dual Diagnosis 

2 CEU Credit Hours.
This FREE program will start immediately and include dinner.

For new and intermediate social workers. This seminar will highlight specific types of patients who have emotional disorders and personality disorders, as well as substance dependence. Topics will include assessing their motivation to change, exploring their level of insight, and using group therapy to help them become more active in the treatment process. 

Objectives:

  • Identify five personality traits of dually diagnosed patients.
  • Name three specific reasons for patients to become motivated to be clean and sober.
  • Recall three key triggers that lead most patients into relapse.
  • Report five specific questions to use when screening patients for substance abuse problems.

Attendants must attend the entire seminar and complete the evaluation form to receive Certificate of Attendance. The Certificate will be given at the end of the seminar.
