Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression and Anxiety

For new and intermediate level social workers. This seminar explores the connection between cognitions, emotions, and behaviors. The seminar covers theory and practice of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Clinicians can apply this clinical approach in a clear manner and usually have excellent results.
Objectives:
- Learn four empirically validated CBT interventions to help depressed and anxious patients.
- Participants will understand the connection between cognitions, emotions, and behaviors.
- Demonstrate three specific skills to use when engaging clients in the treatment process.
- Clarify three realistic treatment goals.
Attendants must attend the entire seminar and complete the evaluation form to receive Certificate of Attendance. The Certificate will be given at the end of the seminar.
