Successful Measurement of Dynamic Force, Pressure and Acceleration
PCB Piezotronics is offering the Successful Measurement class in Denver, CO.  The short course is taught by Dr. Pat Walter and will be held at Hilton Garden Inn Denver - Cherry Creek on July 7-8, 2016.
At this training, participants will learn to:
  • Understand the physics and operating characteristics of dynamic force, pressure (including acoustic), and acceleration transducers and constraints associated with their use
  • Interface transducers effectively with intended test environments
  • Condition transducer signals to maintain their fidelity through selection of appropriate cabling, amplifiers, analog filters, sampling rates, DAQs, etc.
  • Document extraneous measurands (e.g., strain, temperature, ionization products of a detonation, magnetic fields) that superpose as noise on the desired transducer response
  • Apply corrective action for elimination of these noise levels
  • Validate that final, recorded signals contain only the desired (force, pressure, or acceleration) data
  • The training will also include a demonstration by The Modal Shop of sensor mounting and calibration
  • Perform sensor and system calibration, data analysis and data utilization
  • Application issues associated with static load, torque, and pressure transducer applications can also be raised during the seminar.

The cost is $850 per person.  This fee covers training materials, snacks and meals for the 2-day event.

Discounted rooms have been reserved for $129/night for all attendees staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Denver - Cherry Creek.  Should you desire lodging, please contact the hotel (303) 754-9800.  Please mention you are attending PCB training to receive your discount.  In addition, please take advantage of the hotel's free underground parking garage and complimentary valet service.  Thank you for your interest.  We look forward to seeing you in Denver soon!
