Psychopomp Healing: Death, Dying and Beyond 

Learn to work in compassionate partnership with your helping “Spirits” in order to assist stuck “souls” to move to the other side, also referred to as psycopomp healing.

A shaman heals both the living and the deceased.  In healing those who died, the shaman performs a psychopomp ceremony of helping those who have died cross over  to a comfortable and peaceful place. 

This training is also for those who wish to be of service in the process of dying, whether to learn for themselves or to assist others journeys.  Perfect for Hospice workers, caregivers and family members who wish to assist in this  greatest human transition.

Shamans were typically people who had a near death experience or a life threatening illness and had crossed over to the other side. By having this experience the shaman learned some of the cosmology of where souls go to after death.

In this workshop you will have several initiatory experiences while being held in a safe and sacred  container where you can get a sense for yourself of where people go after they die; as well as what it is like to drop our ego and body.

 We will also look at how to help people who are dying by using words and vocabulary that give them peace and validate any spiritual experiences they are already having.

We will also look at how to help people make contact with their own helping spirits when faced with illness. Sometimes the spirits will actually heal a person. And sometimes the spirits will help a person prepare for their transition.

We will look at how to finish up unfinished business with someone who is deceased using the shamanic journey.

And we will learn how to perform psychopomp work. We leave this for last as there is much preparation that needs to be done before doing this work.

And most importantly, in this weekend we learn how from a shamanic perspective death is seen a rite of passage. It is not an end it is a transition.

Many Shamanic Healing methods are based in compassionate means of clearing to heal a client’s situation.  We chose to offer this group of three trainings as a series as each is related to the other and builds on the same themes.  How do we remove what doesn’t belong?…  Whether Energetic Thought forms or Suffering beings.  Compassionate Clearing is a vital part of Shamanic Healing.
