Money as a Spiritual Practice
A Virtual Small Group
Have you ever taken time to deeply examine your relationship with money? Are you aware of the creative and restraining energies reflected within your financial resources? In what ways do you experience other forms of wealth?
Money is a tangible form of energy and one of our teachers. From very early childhood, our lives evolve with ideas, beliefs, experiences and expectations about money.
Once a month, a small group of people will share, reflect and seek deeper understanding of their relationship with money. As the group dives deeper, they may choose to explore such topics as:
- Abundant consciousness
- Beliefs about scarcity
- Fear of having "not enough"
- Concerns of having "more than enough"
- Giving and receiving money
- How much is enough?
- Power of money
- Gift economy
The Process
Noticing and wondering, gentle guidance, sharing, stillness/solitude, reflective experiences and questions are used to support the body, mind, heart and spirit/soul as you explore - at your own pace - your relationship with money,
The Faciitator listens to what might be "under" the discussion. She seeks to hear the movement of Reiki as it weaves itself through each discussion. Participants are supported in examining their ability to give and receive. Within the small group, you are invited - at your own pace - to become more aware of how the energy of money manifests, moves and influences your life experience.The Commitment
Participants are asked to
- engage fully in the experience.
- be present for each session.
- notice and wonder as money teaches them between sessions
- be open as Reiki unfolds new insights
You are trusted to choose your own level of participation, to know when to share and when to remain in the silence. As you discover your own rhythm, you are asked to listen deeply to your own unique life path, to discover new ways to relate to money, for the insights money can bring into your life and how money impacts your relationships with others and the world.
The Facilitator
Elaine Andres is a Reiki student - practicing Reiki since 1981 and teaching Reiki since her initiation as a Reiki Master in 1984. She is an ordained minister in the Christian faith tradtion and was the Executive Director of two nonprofit organizations. As a Reiki Master, spiritual director and minister, she practices the art of holy listening as a way of living her life and facilitating group experiences.
Regarding her life path, she says, "Reiki is my guide. Life is my teacher. As I listen to Reiki and notice my life, I am guided on a path that gently unfolds. The more I trust, the more I'm given from Life; the more joy I experience, the more strength I feel. I'm deeply grateful for this beautiful gift of Reiki that I hold in my hands. I look forward to discovering new insights as we share this experience together."
Time and Financial Commitment: Six monthly sessions.
Dates: The first Saturday of the month: July 7, August 4, September 1, October 6, November 3 and December 1, 2018
Time: Sessions are from 7:00 - 9:00 a.m. PDT including breaks. To find your time, please use the Worldclock. Sample time zones are: Columbia, 9 a.m.; Argentina/Uruguay/Brazil, 11 a.m.; United Kingdom, 3 p.m.; Europe, 4 p.m.; Russia, 5 p.m.; Kazakhstan, 8 p.m. Please check the world clock to make sure we didn't make a typo! :)
Online Service: Sessions are conducted on Zoom, a virtual online service.
Registration Fee: There are two optinos to pay.
- Pay in full at time of registration: $250.00 USD (Saves $50).
- Pay monthly before Thursday of the session. ($50 per month).
Registration Closes: Thursday, July 5 at midnight PDT. A new Zoom link will be sent on Friday for each session to ensure the best possible reception.
