Secrets of a woman who’s not the retiring type!
Lucille is Chief Executive of the Physical Activity Foundation and has over 10 years of experience in Partnership management, working in both Sponsor and rights holder roles.
Lucille has lead Partnership programs with Transport for NSW, local organisations iiNet (formerly TransACT), ActewAGL and Basketball ACT and believes that well aligned Partnerships can be an integral part of every organisation’s success.
Lucille is a Women’s National Basketball League Life Member and former Opal, mum to 7 year old Finn and commutes from her home on the South Coast each week, where she & her husband Colin co-own and operate The Escape – a luxury camping business located on the Clyde River, Shallow Crossing.
Lucille is a great and outspoken ambassador on physical activity for everyone and is passionate about helping get all kids, more active, more often!

Lucille Bailie spent nearly two decades playing in Australia’s premier women’s basketball league, the WNBL. During that time she captained the AIS, played in six WNBL Championships, winning 3, represented Australia at the 1990 World Championships & in 2000, was awarded life membership of the WNBL and an Australian Sports Medal for services provided to sport in Australia.
Lucille has successfully combined her sporting & family commitments with her profession & is currently the CEO of Canberra based organisation – the Physical Activity Foundation – a preventative health agency which develops & delivers initiatives to promote physical activity! Www.paf.org.au
Lucille, husband Colin and daughter Finn live on the Clyde River at Shallow Crossing where they operate their fabulous eco-tourism retreat – The Escape, luxury camping & she firmly believes the simple philosophy that health and happiness in life are paramount, along with “enjoying the journey” with family and friends!
