A variety of classes established to challenge the mind, stimulate your senses and tap into your creative skills.

 Bread Making on a Tight Schedule

Bring your apron and learn how to make bread! With 40 years of experience in bread making, Valerie Larm will show you that it can be easy, quick and enjoyable. You will make your own 60-minute bread dough in this one-evening class while learning how to cut costs and have control over what you eat. A variety of breads, such as rolls, fancy bread, pizza dough, and breakfast rolls, will be covered, depending on the size of the class. A $5 materials fee is payable to the instructor on the night of class. Class is limited to eight students. Class will be held at the First United Methodist, Celebration Center, 1701 W. 32nd Street, Sedalia, MO 65301. Valerie Larm, instructor, $39

Ghost Hunting 

Have you ever wondered if there are ghosts? Join us to discover the history of ghost hunting, different types of haunting, infamous haunted locations, as well as equipment and techniques used in ghost hunting. Plus, you’ll have question and answer sessions with real ghost hunters! You will see and hear evidence collected from investigations by Sedalia Ghost Hunters, a member of the TAPS family. Photography and Art

In this class we explore the various types of photography along with the basic elements. We take the camera off auto mode and develop hands-on experience with shutter speeds, aperture, ISO, and white balance. Whether you are shooting children’s sports activities or the roses in your garden, this class is designed to teach creative photography tools. Mary Kindle, instructor, $79

Photography- Did You Know

Just in time for holiday gift giving! You can print photos on metal, canvas and fabric! Or you can put Vaseline on the camera lens to create a dreamy photo effect. You can also print 20” x 30” wall prints for under $6! This class shows photo enthusiasts the endless possibilities of shooting, printing, and displaying photographs. Mary Kindle, instructor, $59

Just in time for holiday gifts! Learning Photoshop can be exhausting and frustrating. In this class you will learn simple techniques to enhance your photos in just a few clicks. From print resolution and removing spots to creating effects with plug-in software, this class is designed to fit your specific needs and what you want to learn about Photoshop. NEW! The Poem and You

Join us for some creative tinkering in this unique workshop where words are tools and possibilities are limited only by your imagination. A published writer leads beginning poets to explore basic elements and technique for writing poems using a variety of styles and verse forms. Students can expect to build or expand their background in poetry writing both by composing their own pieces and by reading, analyzing, and discussing those of others.
