Vickery Creek Women's History Hike  -  Saturday, March 3, 2012

4.0 Miles Vickery Creek TrailTrail Rated Easy - Moderate

March is Women's History month.  We will comemorate our female ancestors and give honor to some local women among us.

This 4-mile trail starts by crossing the covered bridge next to the historical Roswell Mill.  Although considered an easy hike, it has a varied terrain with a couple of fairly steep inclines.  Please be warned that there is poison ivy on this trail.  Expect to see waterfalls. chipmunks and the possibility of a Heron.

This is one of the hikes that Paulette and I led for our certifications as Outings Leaders, back in 2009.

This trail is located in Fulton County, in the city of Roswell.  Because it is a local hike, we will meet at the trailhead.  You will receive specific directions after you have registered.  However, you can get more informaton about Vickery Creek which is a part of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area here.
