Ocean Sailing Seminar 2017 (Annapolis, MD) 

The two day Ocean Sailing Seminar, supported by SAIL Magazine, covers all aspects of preparing to go ocean sailing, and is presented by experts, industry professionals and experienced cruisers. Lecturers have been chosen for their knowledge and practical experience in their specialist fields.

Special emphasis will be on the ARC Caribbean 1500 and what to expect in terms of weather and equipment issues, but anyone interested in offshore sailing will gain valuable knowledge from the weekend.

Terms and Conditions:

1. DATES: The Seminar will take place from 8am on Saturday March 25 to 3pm on Sunday March 26, 2017 at the O'Callaghan Annapolis Hotel. Bookings must be received by February 19, 2017; bookings made after this date are not guaranteed accommodation.

2. FEES: The seminar fees paid before October 30, 2016 received a 5% dsicount. A $45 discount off boat entry fee (primary seminar booking only) for ARC Caribbean 1500 [2017] or ARC Bahamas in 2017, ARC Europe 2017 or ARC 2017, will be given if entered in the rally by April 30, 2017. A reduced seminar fee is available for those already entered in a rally. Discount code required at time of seminar registration.

3. INCLUDED: The fee includes attendance at the seminar; lecture notes; accommodation (as per paragraph 4), lunch, coffee/tea during designated breaks on both days; dinner with wine on Saturday March 25. Travel to and from the seminar venue, and car parking are not included.

4. ACCOMMODATION: the seminar fee includes two nights accommodation at the O'Callaghan Annapolis Hotel for the nights of Friday March 24 and Saturday March 25, 2017, inclusive of breakfast in seminar room. Other hotel services, meals taken outside of the seminar, and extras are not included in the seminar fee. A discount is available for delegates not wishing to stay at the hotel.

5. GUEST RATE: A guest rate will be available for spouses/partners wishing to stay in the hotel and join the Saturday night dinner, but not attend the seminar.  Please ask for details. 

6. PAYMENT: Payment must be made in full at the time of booking.  Payment can be made online by credit or debit card.

7. REFUNDS: Refunds will be made for cancellations received by the Organizers on the following schedule: 90% for cancellations received by Feb 20 2017; 50% for cancellations received by March 05, 2017. No refunds will be made for cancellations received from March 06, or for delegates or guests who fail to attend for any reason.

8. UNUSED SERVICES: For services stated in paragraphs 3,4 and 5 above, there will be no refund for unused services.

9. ALTERATIONS TO PROGRAM: The Organisers reserve the right to alter any aspect of the seminar program, including content and timings, although such changes will be kept to a minimum. The provisional program will be sent out with delegate information packs via email in early March 2017.

10. CANCELLATION: In the unlikely event of the seminar being cancelled all fees paid to the Organisers will be refunded.

11. ACCEPTANCE: By making a payment, delegates are accepting these terms and conditions for both themselves and for all members of the party shown on the booking. The Organisers reserve the right to decline any booking at their discretion.

12. DEFINITIONS: For the purpose of the Ocean Sailing Seminar Terms and Conditions, or any other material issued by the Organisers, the following terms shall be defined as:
“The Organisers” shall refer to World Cruising Club USA LLC, trading as World Cruising Club USA, and its employees.
“The Seminar” shall mean the Ocean Sailing Seminar of March 25/26, 2017.
