IFMA Central Valley August Chapter Meeting
The Board of Directors would like to invite you to our Chapter Annual Meeting ,we will be swearing in our new Board Members and have a presentation from Jon Martens. The areas that will be covered by Jon’s presentation on the topic of Sustainability are: The Meaning of Sustainability, Value of Incorporating a Sustainability Plan and Cost Effectiveness of Sustainability.We also will provide refreshments and a raffle. As a part of the presentation Jon Martens would like to know of your specific questions about the sustainability topic and would like to address them as part of the presentation to have fully interactive presentation. Jon has more than 40 years of in-depth and diverse facilities experience in both the private and public/government sectors. He is the managing principal of JEMCOR, LLC, an innovative facility solutions company that provides expertise in dealing with organizations in all aspects of the facilities management life cycle, from Real Estate through Project Management, and Operations & Maintenance, with an emphasis on Sustainability. Mr. Martens is called upon by many U.S. based and international organizations to apply his extensive experience in consulting activities within the built environment, providing specialized educational requirements, and mentoring.

In addition to his public speaking and lectures, Jon is an IFMA-certified Master-Instructor. Among his instructional talents andexperience with many academia organizations and universities, he is a master instructor of all of IFMA’s 11 competency courses, known as the Facilities Management Book of Knowledge (FMBOK), the Facilities Management Professional (the FMP), the Sustainable Facility Professional (the SFP), and is world renown for his expertise as a master instructor for the Certified Facility Manager (the CFM) Course. Through attending his courses, thousands of facilities professionals, world-wide, have attained higher level credentials in the field of facilities management and forwarded their careers to higher levels within organizations.
Jon
has traveled globally over the past 40+ years and is known for being the subject matter expert for the materials utilized in the courses he instructs, he
is the author of many books and instructional materials such as the CFM Study Guide, first published in August 2004, on topics such as Sustainability, new introductory courses such as The Business of FM, these are among just a few. He has authored, co-authored, and been the consultant subject matter expert for numerous seminar development, college courses, and site specific instructional materials for organizations in the facilities profession. As a master instructor, Jon trains and certifies other instructors in the delivery of IFMA course materials. Mr. Martens was
inducted into IFMA’s Fellows as class of 2008 in Dallas, Texas at their World
Workplace International Convention, in October 2008. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin and conducted studies on his MBA at St. Ambrose University.
