We are having our annual event that will bring parents, students, caregivers & kin a fun and educational place to mingle with teachers, school administrators, Department of Education folks, Board of Education, legislators who support education, and community stakeholders.
Why?? Because we know that this is the BEST way we can work on changes in our schools and communities listening to each other's perspectives on what is happening. We need to work as a team.
After all, we want the same thing...Our WV children to have the best education possible!!
Do you have an idea for a program or sustainable project you would like to see in a school or an after school site?
If you bring a team to the summit, you can apply for mini grant funding up to $2000 to start that project as a parent, student, or family member of a student!! Hint: Extra Credit for bringing a team that includes a parent, student, and a teacher/principal/school staff member.
Never written a grant before? We will show you how!!!
We have 25 workshop/presentations and breakout sessions for you to learn from with some sessions from other families in WV who have started programs in their schools.
We will have great childcare and activities for the wee ones and FUN & Educational hands on activities for students 7 and up!!
